The National 10-13 quarterly President’s Meeting was attended by Artie, Ed Dunbar and Joe Wolff on March 11th, 2023 at the Der Dutchman in Sarasota, Fl. A number of issues were discussed and will be expanded on by both the President and Vice president in the next newsletter. For now I will just tell you that the Membership cards are reported to be on order and once printed will be mailed directly to club presidents.
Retired NYPD Lieutenant Pastor Stanley Diih (Pronounced "D")
Pastor Diih Spoke to the group and shared some rather personal stories of his early days in the NYPD, including events where personal friends had been killed. It was one of those rare moments when the entire room was silent. Afterwards a rather loud round of applause was given, with several members standing in respect. Dr. Diih mad it clear that he has devoted his life to helping fellow officers and that 10-13 groups provides a necessary bond for retired officer that are passing experiencing troubled times, often through no fault of their own. It is for that reason that he said he would be honored to accept the role of Chaplin for the Hernando 10-13 Club.
